NINGBO, January 25, 2026 — On the morning of January 25, the Symposium of the National Multi-center Regional Platform Collaboration Network was held at PYRAMID.

Bridging Data Silos through Collaboration

Director Zhan Siyan opened the symposium by welcoming colleagues from across the country. She emphasized that in the era of digitalization and AI, multi-center collaboration is essential for resource sharing and the advancement of public health and clinical research. She pledged that both the PKU School of Public Health and the Institute would act as bridges to facilitate the co-construction, sharing, and innovative application of healthcare big data nationwide.

Representatives shared diverse insights on database construction, data governance, trusted data spaces, and commercialization:

During the discussion, attendees explored regional collaboration, joint project construction, and national base applications. Lai Zhiyuan (Fujian platform) emphasized the importance of regional coordination and the "Three-医 (Healthcare, Medical Insurance, and Pharmacy) Linkage" for data development.

The symposium marks the starting point for national multi-center synergy. The Institute aims to leverage this momentum to unify data standards and promote collaborative governance. Future efforts will focus on Trusted Data Spaces and the Industry-Academia-Research-Application integrated model to support the "Healthy China" initiative.

Closing Remarks: Three Key Initiatives

In her summary, Director Zhan Siyan stated that the School and the Institute will align with the NHSA’s development plans and participate in comprehensive evaluations. She outlined three immediate priorities:

Academic Publication: Jointly publish papers to introduce the network’s concepts and milestones.

Platform Establishment: Formally launch the Regional Collaboration Network Platform and establish a secretariat for daily operations.

Deepened Cooperation: Foster resource sharing and innovation in research projects and technical applications across all regional platforms.

Following the meeting, guests toured the Institute to further observe its achievements and strategic roadmap in digital health. This symposium signifies a substantial step forward in building a national collaborative network for medical data.
