Deep-Rooted Data Resources
The Institute possesses a robust foundation in health data resources. Leveraging the Yinzhou Regional Health Big Data Platform, we have accumulated 20 years of continuous healthcare data. Through standardized data governance and the establishment of rigorous research access protocols, the platform has successfully built a natural population cohort of over 1.6 million individuals.
The platform stores highly granular health data for over 1.7 million permanent residents, comprising nearly 7.59 billion records across various categories, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR), laboratory and imaging reports, and physical examination records. Characterized by its comprehensive disease coverage, long longitudinal span, and high data quality, this resource provides a solid foundation for full-life-cycle research into major and rare diseases.
To date, the platform has supported 61 real-world studies in fields such as cardiovascular disease, nephrology, oncology, and pharmacology. These include 21 national-level research projects, the co-construction of two national research platforms, the publication of over 130 papers, and the training of more than 30 postgraduate and doctoral students.
Local Digital Laboratory
Our Local Digital Laboratory centers on digital and intelligent technologies. It provides a comprehensive research environment integrating data storage, model training, and evidence-based validation. Equipped with high-performance computing (HPC) platforms and full-process digital tools, the lab facilitates efficient healthcare big data analytics and the development of cutting-edge multimodal AI models.
Remote Digital Laboratories
Simultaneously, the Institute is accelerating the construction of Remote Digital Laboratories, accessible through the National Urban Trusted Data Space Pilot (Ningbo). With laboratory nodes strategically deployed in Beijing and other major cities, we enable seamless, cross-regional collaboration. This network provides powerful technical support, allowing researchers to conduct high-efficiency remote collaboration regardless of their physical location.
